VIDEO: George Pickens, Teammates Brawl Again at Practice — HC Brian Schottenheimer Issues Serious Threat

Tension at Dallas Cowboys training camp; there were two brawl between players | Marca

Dallas, TX – July 24, 2025

Training camp for the Dallas Cowboys erupted into chaos once again on Wednesday—and this time, it was former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Just a day after tempers flared between rookie defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku and tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford, Wednesday’s session saw Pickens square off with Cowboys safety Markquese Bell. According to Joseph Hoyt of The Dallas Morning News, a helmetless Bell threw a punch in the midst of the scuffle, but it was Pickens, known for his fiery play in Pittsburgh, who allegedly provoked the altercation by trash-talking and shoving Bell during 11-on-11 drills.

The tension boiled over with Bell accidentally landing a punch on cornerback Troy Pride as teammates rushed to separate the group. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer, visibly frustrated, called the entire team into a huddle and issued a stern warning: “The next guy who throws a punch will be kicked off the field.”

A short video clip posted by Hoyt captured the chaos, and fans quickly noted Pickens’s involvement. It’s rare to see a new arrival stir the pot so early in camp, but the former Steelers wideout has never shied away from confrontations, both on and off the field.

As speculation mounts about Schottenheimer’s grip on the locker room, the team faces mounting pressure to settle down before the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Rams on August 9. If the fights continue, questions about discipline—and the leadership of both Pickens and Schottenheimer—will only intensify.

The 2025 season is set to kick off against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles on September 4, but for now, all eyes in Dallas are on whether Pickens’s aggressive edge will lift—or fracture—his new team.
