An old quote from Patrick Mahomes in which he admits he should have perhaps done a better job, or at least a more timely one, in his relationship with his wife, Brittany, has resurfaced online this NFL offseason.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is obviously a very busy man, as the hopes and dreams of an entire fan base lie squarely on his shoulders. But he spends as much time as he can with his family during the offseason, with this one extra special as they welcomed a third baby earlier this year.
Mahomes appeared on Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast last April, where he admitted his one regret about marrying Brittany: not doing it sooner.
“How did I find the one? I met her in high school, dude,” he said. “So, she dealt with me in high school and college – those years where I’m just a young kid. She made me better and I knew that was going ‘the one’ for a long time. And I probably made her wait too long to get married.”
“But we got married, have two beautiful kids now, and she’s the one who runs the household. And I’m not afraid to admit it,” he added.
As noted above, they’ve since welcomed another kid.
