Ex-Eagles Star Has Signed with Super Bowl Contender

Bears Positioned to Add Eagles All-Pro CB James Bradberry

Buffalo, NY – April 17, 2025 – Former Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry has signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. The 31-year-old aims to revive his career with a Super Bowl contender.

Bradberry, a 2022 All-Pro, was cut by the Eagles in March 2025. His three-year, $38 million contract with Philly yielded mixed results, with a stellar 2022 followed by struggles and an injury-plagued 2024.

In 2022, Bradberry limited quarterbacks to a 45.3% completion rate, allowing just two touchdowns. His performance earned second-team All-Pro honors and helped the Eagles reach Super Bowl LVII.

However, 2023 was rough. Opponents completed 59.4% of passes against him, scoring 11 touchdowns. A 2024 transition to safety failed, and an Achilles injury sidelined him all season.

The Bills, fresh off a 12-5 season, needed secondary depth. With Rasul Douglas regressing and Kaiir Elam inconsistent, Bradberry’s 18 career interceptions and 99 pass defenses offer veteran savvy.

Bradberry reunites with GM Brandon Beane and coach Sean McDermott, who drafted him in 2016 with the Carolina Panthers. Their familiarity fueled this low-risk signing.

“James brings proven talent,” said Beane. “His experience will strengthen our defense.” Bradberry is expected to compete for the CB2 role alongside Christian Benford.

The $6 million deal, with $1 million in incentives, fits Buffalo’s $20 million cap space. For Bradberry, it’s a chance to add to his Super Bowl LIX ring and chase glory with Josh Allen.
