Philadelphia, PA – June 30, 2025
The Eagles are reigniting championship fire! Two former Super Bowl LII heroes are invited to training camp, aiming to earn spots and bolster Philly’s title defense, sources told ESPN.
With Darius Slay gone, Philly’s secondary needs depth. GM Howie Roseman is banking on these veterans’ experience to compete with young stars for a Super Bowl LX run.
Corey Clement, a former running back and returner, shone in 2017 with 321 rushing yards and a Super Bowl LII touchdown. A 2025 free agent, he’s eager to revive his Philly spark.
Rasul Douglas, a 2017 Eagles draftee, started 15 games for Buffalo in 2024. His 19 career interceptions make him a prime candidate to strengthen Philly’s defensive backfield.
Clement could reclaim a special teams role, challenging Avery Williams. “I’m thrilled to be back where it all started,” he said. “I just want to contribute to another title run.”
Douglas, equally fired up, added, “Philly gave me my first chance—I’m ready to show I still belong.” Both will join training camp this week to impress Nick Sirianni.
Fans on X are hyped, with @EaglesNation posting, “LII champs back? Let’s chase LX!” The return of these veterans fuels dreams of another Philly Special championship.
As Philly gears up for Dallas on September 4, Roseman’s strategy blends legacy and talent. Can these heroes spark another title run? Eagles Nation’s watching closely.
