Eagles' A.J. Brown trade to Patriots prank had fans concerned

A.J. Brown knew exactly what he was doing.

He posted an Instagram video with the caption, "The wait is finally over."

Then, in his video, Brown held up a jersey. It had his No. 11 on it.

The problem? It was a Patriots jersey.

Could the Eagles have traded their star wide receiver, and he himself was breaking the news in a social media video?

But Brown only let the prank last for a few seconds.

He turned it around to show that it was a Patriots jersey of Julian Edelman. It was autographed.

"I play too much," Brown said with a smile. "I have fun."

Brown also received a signed Tom Brady jersey, less of a prank since Brady wore No. 12, not Brown's 11.

"Don't take me serious," Brown said in the video, likely directed at Eagles fans.

Brown caught a touchdown during the Eagles' 40-22 Super Bowl win over the Chiefs.

During the regular season, he caught 67 passes for 1,079 yards and seven scores.

Brown is entering the second season of a three-year, $96 million contract extension, which was tacked on to his prior deal and could keep Brown in Philadelphia through 2029.

Don't worry, Eagles fans. A.J. Brown isn't going anywhere.
