Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman is reportedly planning a transformative move to create the NFL’s best wide receiver trio by targeting Ohio State superstar Emeka Egbuka in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Sources told ESPN on Saturday that Roseman is keen on drafting Egbuka with the No. 32 pick, aiming to elevate an already potent offense.
The Eagles, fresh off their Super Bowl LIX victory, boast A.J. Brown with 1,079 yards and DeVonta Smith with 1,008 yards in 2024, but Roseman sees Egbuka as the missing piece.
Egbuka, a 6’1”, 205-pound receiver, has been a standout at Ohio State, amassing 205 receptions for 2,868 yards and 24 touchdowns over his career, making him the Buckeyes’ all-time leader in receptions.
In 2024, Egbuka hauled in 81 catches for 1,011 yards and 10 touchdowns, contributing to Ohio State’s national championship win, with two 1,000-yard seasons (2022, 2024) showcasing his consistency.
Known for his polished route-running, Egbuka ran a 4.48-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day, hit 38 inches in the vertical jump, and displayed strong hands and boundary awareness, traits that make him NFL-ready.
A To Z Sports writer Destin Adams predicts Egbuka’s addition would create early opportunities for him to shine, as defenses focus on Brown and Smith, while also securing the Eagles’ future if either star departs.
Eagles fans on X are buzzing with excitement: “Egbuka with Brown and Smith? Unstoppable!” posted @EaglesNation, while @PhillyFanatic added, “Howie’s building a dynasty—let’s repeat!” With the draft on April 24, Roseman’s move could cement Philly’s offense as the league’s most formidable.
