Amazon MGM Studios dropped a bombshell Friday, announcing Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix will portray Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt in the Andy Reid biopic Dynasty. Denzel Washington will star as the iconic coach, with the film set for a 2026 release.
Phoenix, 50, brings intensity to Hunt, the visionary who shaped the Chiefs and coined “Super Bowl.” Washington, 70, embodies Reid’s commanding presence, guiding Kansas City to three Super Bowl titles. “This cast is electric,” director David O. Russell said, per sources.
