Jaire Alexander is officially done in Green Bay.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Green Bay Packers are releasing the veteran cornerback.

Rapoport followed up to report that the Packers and Alexander agreed to explore any trade avenues they might have and considered restructuring his contract.

Cutting Alexander is a financially driven move for Green Bay as Jaire Alexander had a $16.2 million base salary and a $24.6 million salary cap hit for 2025.

As a post-June 1 release, the team will save $17.1 million for this year and absorb dead money hits of $7.5 million in 2025 and $9.5 million in 2026.

This move marks quite the fall for Alexander, a former first-round pick who was one of the team’s best players as recently as the 2022 season when he was selected to his second Pro Bowl.
