Philadelphia, PA – July 12, 2025

An Eagles icon calls it quits! The veteran defensive tackle, a Super Bowl LV champion, retired at 38, lamenting his missed shot at Super Bowl LVII glory with Philly, sources told ESPN.

Joining the Eagles mid-2022, he bolstered their run defense. His one-year stint, with 10 tackles and a sack, fueled Philly’s Super Bowl LVII run.

Ndamukong Suh reflected: “Philly’s passion is unmatched. I gave everything, but losing Super Bowl LVII stings. I wanted that ring for Eagles Nation, my twins, and me.”

Suh’s clutch hit on 49ers’ Josh Johnson in the NFC Championship sparked cheers. His 71.5 career sacks and Tampa Bay title cemented his legacy.

Despite a “dirty player” label, Philly embraced Suh’s grit. Fans on X hailed his 2022 impact, with @EaglesNation saying, “He brought fire!”

Now retired, Suh joins Sky Sports NFL as an analyst. His brief Eagles tenure, alongside Fletcher Cox, left fans yearning for another ring.

From Detroit to Philly, Suh’s journey inspired. His regret fuels debate: Was he underutilized in 2022? Eagles Nation salutes their short-term warrior.

As Philly chases Super Bowl LX, Suh’s legacy endures. Can the Eagles honor him with another title? Fans are ready to fly high
