Eagles trade idea adds Titans young $9 million quarterback behind Jalen Hurts

Will Levis to undergo MRI on shoulder after exiting win vs. Dolphins, remains Titans' QB1 when healthy

In 2024, the Tennessee Titans had both Will Levis and Mason Rudolph start games for them, with the former leading the team to a 2-10 record while completing 63.1% of his passes for 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The latter went 1-4 in his five starts, completing 64% of his throws for 1,530 yards, nine touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Those performances were poor enough for Tennessee to secure the top selection in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft, and with Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward expected to be the first pick, the Titans have already allowed Rudolph to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers and may be willing to move on from Levis as well.

Interestingly, A to Z Sports' Easton Freeze recently put together a list of the best trade fits for the Titans and Levis, and one of Freeze's top options was the Philadelphia Eagles.

After the Eagles inked him to a five-year, $255 million contract in 2023, Hurts led his team to a victory in Super Bowl 59 and earned the game's Most Valuable Player Award. That likely means that Philadelphia won't be looking for a new starting quarterback anytime soon, but they could use some depth.

At the moment, they have Tanner McKee and Dorian Thompson-Robinson as the two quarterbacks on the depth chart behind Hurts, and that duo hasn't had much starting experience in the NFL.

McKee played in two games (and started one) for the Eagles in 2024, completing 66.7% of his passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns. Thompson-Robinson has appeared in 14 games (and started five) for the Cleveland Browns over the last two seasons, completing 52.6% of his passes for 880 yards, one touchdown and 10 interceptions.

Levis hasn't been great in his time with the Titans, but he's started 21 games since the team took him in the second round (No. 33 overall) of the 2023 NFL draft out of Kentucky.

Philadelphia could probably snag Levis from Tennessee for a Day 3 pick and at least have him replace Thompson-Robinson and that would be an upgrade to their room for the 2025 season.
