NFL legend Tom Brady has labeled Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni as the most overrated coach in the league.
Sources told ESPN on Monday that Brady made the comments on his SiriusXM podcast, sparking debate among fans.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion didn’t hold back, saying, “Sirianni’s success comes from an elite roster—Hurts, Brown, Barkley.”
Brady added, “Any coach could win with that talent. He’s the most overrated in the NFL right now.”
This critique comes after Sirianni led the Eagles to Super Bowl LIX in 2024, with an 18-3 record, but his 2023 season was less impressive.
In 2023, Sirianni’s Eagles started 10-1 but collapsed, losing 5 of their last 6 games, finishing 11-6, and exiting in the Wild Card round against the Buccaneers (32-9), with the offense averaging just 20.8 points per game in the final 6 weeks.
Fan frustration peaked early in 2024, with a 2-2 start prompting calls for Sirianni’s firing on X: “His play-calling is a mess—fire him now!” (@EaglesNation).
Despite the rocky start, Sirianni turned things around, leading a 16-game win streak to the Super Bowl, where the Eagles crushed the Chiefs 40-22, and fans on X defended him: “Brady’s wrong—Sirianni proved himself!” (@FlyEaglesFly).
