KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Chiefs’ second-round pick signed a surprisingly low contract, sources told ESPN. After threatening to skip 2025 and re-enter the 2026 draft, he’s now all-in for Super Bowl LX.

Omarr Norman-Lott said, “I once thought I’d wait for a bigger contract, maybe even re-enter the draft. But something changed — I realized I’d rather chase a ring than numbers. That’s why I signed. I want that Super Bowl — with the Chiefs.”

Drafted 63rd overall from Tennessee, Norman-Lott inked a four-year, $8.2 million deal with $1.5 million guaranteed, per Spotrac, far below the $11.7 million fully guaranteed benchmark set by other second-rounders.

Norman-Lott’s holdout, demanding full guarantees, stalled talks through minicamp. His threat to re-enter the 2026 draft echoed rare cases like Bo Jackson, but he relented, per The Athletic.

His 2024 season—4.5 sacks, 18.9% pass-rush win rate—fits Steve Spagnuolo’s system. He joins Chris Jones, boosting a defense stung by Super Bowl LIX’s 40-22 loss, per NFL.com.

Chiefs Kingdom roared: “Norman-Lott’s all-in!” fans cheered, per local reports. His shift from holdout to team-first mindset ignites hope for Kansas City’s title chase, per Arrowhead Pride.

With $11.2 million in cap space, GM Brett Veach lauded Norman-Lott’s sacrifice: “He’s a Chief for life,” per Chiefs.com. He’ll compete with Ashton Gillotte for snaps.

As training camp looms, Norman-Lott’s commitment fuels dreams. Can he spark a Super Bowl LX run? Stay tuned to ESPN for updates!
